Unconscious Driver Freed By Firefighters In Route 17 Wreck

Firefighters in Bergen County freed an unconscious driver from a vehicle following a crash on Route 17 on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Hasbrouck Heights firefighters were called to the two-vehicle crash at Williams Avenue in the southbound lanes around 6 p.m., they said.

Photos from the scene show the crash involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and some other type of SUV.

Crews stabilized the vehicle and extricated the patient, firefighters said in a release.

"Speedy dry was applied to the fluid spill and the unconscious driver was evaluated by EMS," the fire department said.
